When you call 9-1-1 in an emergency and for some reason you are unable to get to the door, the fire department is going to get to you one way or another. That means possibly having to use big tools to break the lock, causing damage to the door. We want to cause the least amount of damage possible and would rather use your key to get in. The Home Entrybox Loaner Program is a no cost program that places a fire department key box on your door and allows fire department personnel to access you in an emergency, causing no damage.
To qualify for this program you must live in the Greater Eagle Fire Protection District and meet at least one of the following:
The lock box will be installed on your door by a member of the fire department and your key will be locked in. Only GEFPD has a key that is able to unlock these boxes, ensuring your security.
