The Greater Eagle Fire Protection District collected Impact Fees in the amount of $2,825 from Eagle County, $6,585 from the Town of Eagle and $25,516 from the Town of Gypsum for a total of $34,926 for calendar year 2016. Tanker Rollover Closes I-70

A very large response this morning for crews in western Eagle County. Greater Eagle Fire responded as mutual aid with Gypsum Fire for a tanker rollover between Gypsum and Dotsero. This tanker was found to be actively leaking fuel which activated a response from Eagle County’s Haz-Mat team.  The interstate is estimated to be closed

Multiple Crashes

Eagle Fire crews continue to respond to multiple car crashes on Interstate 70 in the Eagle and Gypsum.
